We love our sheep and the beautiful fleeces they produce, and we hope you do, too. Each fleece is carefully cared for from the moment it is sheared each Spring. It is labeled and stored in a handmade cotton bag, and a sample is sent out to be tested in a laboratory for it's micron count. The fleeces are hand washed, one at a time, using a plant based eco-friendly detergent, and the dyed fleeces are mordanted using a food grade Alum, and cream of tartar. The dyes are from natural sources - plants and insects, many of which are grown on our property or foraged nearby. The dye material that we purchase is sourced from responsible fair trade companies.
Each batch of yarn is unique in color - the amount of skeins available at the time you view the yarn are all there is of that particular color, so please take that into consideration when you place your order.
